Food Pantry, providing food subsidies & Social Services, Referrals, along with other programs for low income families and individuals who are facing hardship. We work in partnership with other community organizations. Reaching Out is working to foster a caring atmosphere for the welfare of poor community. We are dedicated to maintaining continuous growth in services to assist our clients to improve their quality of life. Our intended outcome is to help meet the basic human needs of the people in the communities we serve.
Description:
Reaching-Out Community Services, Inc., is a 501c (3) non-profit volunteer program. We operate an emergency Food Pantry Plus Program to bring relief to the struggling individuals and families in the Brooklyn community. There are other program as well for delivering food to the sick and elderly. Our homeless program provides food and other items as we travel through out the streets of Brooklyn. Services to help the elderly and individuals how to file for Medicare,Medicaid, Food stamps, etc. For Special Events visit:WWW.reachinout.org Summer tutoring is available in July & August at our location.
History:
Reaching-Out Community Services started in 1992.This all volunteer program started as a homeless outreach program. Soon after we open the food pantry for needy families. At the present time we are setting up other services to assist the elderly and sick, and to those who want to better their lives.
