Central Harlem Senior Citizens Coalition, Inc. is a non-for profit organization located in the Central Harlem community of Manhattan. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for the senior population in Central Harlem and to ensure their sense of pride and self-worth are maintained and affirmed.
Description:
The Coalition hosts three sites:Kennedy Senior Center located at 34 West 134th Street; Central Harlem Senior Center at 120 West 140th Street; and Abyssinian Center at 50 West 131st Street. Each of our senior centers provide programs and services to enhance the quality of life for the senior population in Central Harlem. To accomplish our mission each center offers a wide variety of activities to include ; health and wellness promotion programs; volunteer-led workshops and activities, congregate meals; access to government benefits & entitlement information and referrals; artistic and culturally-rich projects; and educational/recreational activities.
