The Max Reger Foundation of America is a not-for-profit organization that creates opportunities to promote the music and legacy of Max Reger, as well as a broad spectrum of music to the present day. It is our aim to provide avenues for music education and performance for children and professionals within the United States. We achieve these goals by granting education awards to young children, by sponsoring recitals and concerts presented by students and professionals, sponsoring music research projects and commissioning new works by talented composers.
Description:
The Max Reger Foundation of America was founded to provide assistance to musicians of all ages and musical genres. Today, the organization is sponsoring two talented, less-fortunate school children via the Young Artists Awards Program and will offer a major prize at an internationally-acclaimed music competition in Miami, in 2008. Beginning in the fall of 2007, the organization will hold five exciting events from a liquor tasting at a trendy Tribeca lounge to a concert a Carnegie Hall next spring. Future plans include the addition of another Young Artist Award in Latin music and an international music festival to be held in New York City.
History:
The Max Reger Foundation of America is a new organization established in March, 2006. In this short period of time, the Foundation is sponsoring two deserving young children so that they receive a superior music education and sponsoring an award at an internationally-acclaimed piano competition.
