Prospect Estates Housing Limited Partnership's Department of Social Services mission is to reduce recidivism of homelessness. It encourages independence by means of educational and cultural activities, intervention/advocacy/and or liaison services to; empower the tenant through various life skills training, introducing them to existing community resources, identifying and addressing crisis issues within family and other tenants.

Description:
Prospect Estates Housing Limited Partnership houses 69 formally homeless and low income families. It counts with a Department of Social Services, sponsored by the Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC), in the first floor of the building.

History:
Prospect Estates Housing LP (PEHLP) was developed in 1995 under the 85/85 program by Housing and Preservation Development (HPD) and the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR).
