Our Mission is to help all children rescue their dreams deferred. We offer service to at-risk youth primarily in Bronx, NYC.
Description:
We are a Grassroots agency offering Case Management and Referral Services. We assess the children for emmeninent danger. We then develop long and short term goals. We use these goals to establish Milestones for Success. We have established a network of youth agencies that cover a wide topic of services including: Counseling, Academic Guidance, Mentoring, Career Planning, Internships, Job Placement & Resume Preparation, Legal Advice,etc.
We believe A Different Side of the Game, Inc. has the right combination of Services, Case Management, Dedication, and most importantly hope.
History:
A Different Side of the Game, Inc was founded on August 15, 2001 by Kiisha Velasquez, Tobbie West, and Erika Smith.
DSG became incorporated in New York State on January 15, 2002.
IRS granted 501c3 Tax Exemption Recognition on June 6, 2002 with the assistance of the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development.
