This is a charitable organization. This agency through some of our programs like, 'The Key To Success Program' gives self-uplifting & educational seminars. These educational seminars speak about the importance of staying in school. (With guest speakers) By doing these educational seminars we hope to fight against juvenile delinquency. The Key To Success Program goals are to bring these seminars throughout the school system in the State of New York. These events are held with the intent of keeping our youth out of trouble. This agency holds community meetings on how individuals can uplift their community and make them better through our 'Community Action Project'.
Description:
The Key to Success program is an effort to fight against juvenile delinquency and to mold our youth into productive individuals. We work with ''at-risk' young people (ages 12-19) who receive youth leadership development. Our young people also receive production creation with the aim of creating a successful anti-gang violence /anti-drug dealing public service announcement. We bring entertainers, athletes, ect. to speak to the students about their lives and show our youth that they are regular people and that if they apply themselves they too can achieve the same goals. Our goal is to enroll 5th to 8th grade students into the program in order to grow with the students. We hold educational workshops for the students and parents as well. We take our enrolled participants on field trips. We host The Official Bronx College Fairs and a annual Health Fair where students can volunteer. We also would like for the students (youth) to do community service in hopes of keeping youth out of trouble.
History:
Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion proclaimed by proclamation May 12th, 2007 as the: Annual 'Key to success' Bronx College Fair Day. Bronx City council member Hon. Annabel Palma issued a City Council Citation recognizing the Annual 'Key to Success' Bronx College Fair Day in her district.
