To provide Thanksgiving Dinners for needy families in New York City.
Description:
We provide a complete boxed Thanksgiving Dinners to families supported by Women In Need, Catholic Charities, the Salvation Army and other organizations that house needy families. We have gone from feeding 50 families 5 years ago, to feeding 1500 this year. Our goal for next year is 2008 families. Volunteers help pack the boxes and help deliver the boxes in groups. The organization provides vans to drive the volunteers to housing locations.
History:
The organization was started by Robert LoCascio and his employees at Live Person in New York City five years ago to deliver Thanksgiving dinners to the needy families in New York.

Each year we are offered a different location to do our packing a delivering. This year we were at Pier60 and hope to get the facility next year. |
