Inner City Sports Little League is a community based, not-for-profit organization located in Brooklyn, New York. We currently serve more than 350 boys and girls, through a comprehensive range of sports, and enrichment programs. Through age-appropriate, year-round sports and youth development, Inner City Sports offers more than just baseball. Today, Inner City Sports prides itself on being an organization that historically integrates the benefits of sports activity, the power of teams and youth development programs.
Description:
Since its inception in 2003, the Inner City Sports Little League, a year-round youth development program located in Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York, has grown to serve over 500 disadvantaged children annually. To help children overcome the challenges of urban life, the league requires that all children participating in baseball and softball programs also enroll in off-field educational activities to help build skills and confidence. Currently, the league offers several levels of baseball from Tee-Ball to Junior Pony, and will add a girls' softball program in 2008.
