The Arts and Business Council of New York exists to create partnerships between businesses and arts organizations. We do this through a number of programs, the best known is business volunteers for the arts.
Description:
We have more than 260 arts organizations, all non-profit, which we provide services too. Many of these are small and have limited staff. When such an organization needs help with marketing, finance, planning, events, or technology we attempt to find a skilled volunteer to help.
History:
This is Arts and Business Council's 43rd year. We were founded under the aegis of the Partnership for New York City. Each year we do 8 or more different programs to help the arts that enrich our city.
