The mission of the Fort Greene Park Volunteers is to assist in the horticultural care and maintenance of the park and to provide a place where everyone feels their contribution in welcomed and appreciated.
Description:
Fort Greene Park Volunteers works in partnership with NY City Department of Parks & Recreation and the Fort Greene Parks Conservancy to improve the care and maintenance of the park. Individuals, community groups and corporations are encouraged to volunteer. Events usually involve caring for the gardens and grounds by weeding, planting, mulching, or installing erosion control. Other tasks include painting, cleaning and assisting as needed.
