]The mission of God’s Love We Deliver is to improve the health and well being of men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-altering illnesses by alleviating hunger and malnutrition. We prepare and deliver nutritious, high-quality meals to people who are unable to provide or prepare meals for themselves. We also offer illness-specific nutrition education and counseling to our clients and families, care providers and other service organizations. All of our services are provided free of charge without regard to income.
Description and/or History:
We're experiencing a significant shortage of Van Assistants. Van assistants accompany our drivers Monday-Friday from 8am to 3pm, helping them deliver meals to our clients and Neighborhood Meal Distribution Centers throughout the 5 boroughs and Hudson County, NJ. Weekly, monthly and one-time van assistants are welcome. Please help us spread the word and consider spending a day with our drivers. Volunteering on our vans is a beautiful way to volunteer and meet the people who benefit because of the work you do at God's Love.

Overall Experience

GLWD was a rewarding experience.

A volunteer is a special kind of person. Someone willing to give up a few hours or days a week to help others in need for nothing in return. This group embodies the example all New Yorkers should follow.
