JASA (Jewish Association for Services for the Aged) is the largest community based social service agency serving the elderly in the New York area. JASA provides an array of social services to New York area seniors, with the mission of enabling the elderly to live independently for as long as possible.

The Jewish Association for Services for the Aged (JASA) and its affiliates with its 3,000 staff and volunteers, have provided social, recreational, health, cultural and educational programs for older persons, regardless of their race, religion or ethnicity to help sustain them in their homes and communities and to offer opportunities for a better quality of life.

These services are available in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

History:
Since 1968, the Jewish Association for Services for the Aged (JASA) has responded to the needs of New York's most vulnerable elderly-regardless of race, religion or ethnicity. From a small Bronx-based program serving 2,000 individuals, JASA has grown into one of the nation's largest community-based, geriatric social service organizations, assisting more than 54,000 older adults and their families each year.

JASA's work is rooted in our spiritual heritage. We honor the elderly by providing for their sustenance, clothing, shelter and personal needs through meals-on-wheels, emergency food packages, housing, homecare and financial assistance.
