The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation was established in 1937 to act as a premier interpreter of, and influence on international contemporary culture, while projecting the highest standards of quality and attempting to reach the widest possible audience.
To maintain and expand the Guggenheim's institutional commitment to the visual arts and architecture of the 20th and 21st centuries through its collections, buildings and programs.
