New World Creations Resource Center (NWCRC) is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization established to elevate the living standards of families, with an emphasis on women and children and to meet the needs of distressed communities in Brooklyn.
Description:
NWCRC, Inc provide HIV/Aids education, and prevention,food distribution to the hungry, youth programs, including free tax preparation and financial literacy programs.
History:
NWCRC, Inc collaborates on various aids related projects with state and local governmental agencies reaching approximately 2000 clients annually. The rapid increase of the HIV/Aids virus among minorites has driven New World Creations Resource Center to educate the community through literature distribution. NWCRC, Inc engages in workshops, forums and seminars which enable education and prevention while distributing thousands of condoms/literature to residents including clients from various organizations. The annual Aids Walk is one of the biggest HIV/AIDS awareness campaign in Brooklyn. NWCRC, Inc is also an emergency food provider and distributes food two times per month to the poor and hungry. New World Creations Resource Center also promotes recreational activities,health and nutrition education to families and youths encompassing a healthy active lifestyle. In 2006 NWCRC will expand its services to the five boroughs providing free tax preparation and financial literacy among immigrants and low income residents.
