]Salah M. Hassanein Variety Boys and Girls Club provides youth of all backgrounds with the skills and abilities to develop the qualities of self-esteem and self confidence, needed to become responsible citizens and leaders.
Description and/or History:
Salah M. Hassanein Variety Boys & Girls Club is a not-for-profit corporation serving youth ages 6 to 17 since 1955 in a professionally staffed, full service facility that includes a pool, gymnasium, game rooms, computer rooms, library, theater, activity rooms. We believe in providing a safe place to learn and grow, ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals, life enhancing programs and character development experiences and hope and opportunity.
Our club provides a safe, fun, friendly environment for youth. Our Performing Arts Program offers youth an opportunity to learn acting and singing, theater prop preparation, lighting and putting together a play.
We offer tournaments in billiards in our games rooms.
Salah M. Hassanein Variety Boys & Girls Club opened in 1955 providing youth with a safe place to have fun and learn. Variety B&G Club is located near 3 major housing developments in Long Island City and open Mon to Fri 2:30pm to 8:30pm and Sat 11am to 5pm.
