The All Stars Project, Inc. (ASP) is dedicated to promoting human development through the use of an innovative performance and development based model. We create outside of school, educational and performing arts activities for tens of thousands of poor and minority young people. We sponsor community and experimental theatre, develop leadership training and pursue volunteer initiatives that build and strengthen communities.

Description:
The ASP sponsors the following programs:

All Stars Talent Show Network, now in its 25th year, uses a "performance-learning" approach to foster the emotional and social development of young people. Each year, thousands of urban youth between the ages of 5 and 25 participate in All Stars events including auditions, rehearsals, talent shows and development workshops.

The Joseph A. Forgione Development School for Youth is a leadership training and career education program for young people ages 16-21. It is at the forefront of a new trend in education, known as supplemental education, that recognizes non-school-based learning opportunities as critical to children's success in school and in life. Students attend workshops and receive paid summer internships in corporate settings.

The off-off Broadway Castillo Theatre produces postmodern political theatre, exploring contemporary topics in ways that are both thought-provoking and entertaining. It offers our diverse audiences new ways of seeing social issues, historical events, and contemporary life.

Youth Onstage!(YO!)is developing the city's new generation of theatre artists. YO! involves young people who want to create theatre that has something to say about the world.

Production of Youth by Youth (PYBY), our newest afterschool program, focuses on teaching high school students how to be producers of youth culture.
