The U.S. Fund for UNICEF conducts education, advocacy and fundraising programs in the United States to support UNICEF's work around the world. For more information, please visit www.unicefusa.org/volunteer.
Description:
The U. S. Fund for UNICEF works for the survival, protection, and development of children worldwide through fundraising, education, and advocacy. The Fund seeks volunteers to assist in our midtown Manhattan retail stores, and to support fundraising activities in our New York City National Headquarters. Tasks may include general office and administrative support work, outreach activities, preparing mailings, assembling materials, data entry, internet research, and other projects. Good communication skills and basic computer skills are required. If you are interested in volunteering, either in our store operations or in our Headquarters.
History:
The U.S. Fund for UNICEF was begun by volunteers in 1946 to support the work of UNICEF. Since then, millions of volunteers have supported UNICEF through donations, participating in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, or by buying UNICEF greeting cards.
