The mission of the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club is to save and enhance the lives of New York City boys and girls who by means of economic and/or social factors are most in need of its services.
Description:
Since 1884, the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club has been providing after school and summer programs that help build happy, healthy and productive lives for thousands of New York City's most vulnerable kids. We do this by providing education, recreation and guidance programs in a safe and nurturing environment that many children consider a second home. A founding member of the Boys & Girls Club of America, Madison currently serves 5,000 youth ages six to eighteen at seven Clubhouses in the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens and at Camp Madison in Kingston, New York. Madison's programming is a model for youth development, providing much more than just a safe place for recreation after school. The organization is a leader in providing top-notch programming that yields results. Our education and empowerment programs are second to none, helping kids to not only stay in school but to excel academically and socially.
