The Mt. Zion Feeding Program is a community outreach organization whose sole purpose is to serve the largely low-income residents of the East Flatbush area of Brooklyn. Our mission is to empower our community members with the ability to make informed life decisions in the areas of health and wellness, immigration law, finances and disaster preparedness.
Description:
In addition to providing our community with food packages through our food pantry and hot meals, the Mt. Zion Feeding Program strives to provide our community members with the educational resources that will help them improve their current educational, economical, and healthcare status. These resources/programs include but are not limited to disaster preparedness, immigration forums, homeownership possibilities, and workshops on healthcare. The workshops on healthcare incorporate issues such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity, women’s, men’s and community health. All members of the community are encouraged to attend our workshops.
