To rescue as many homeless dogs as possible. We provide food, shelter, medical treatment and training. We then place our rescued dogs in the most appropriate home for that dog.
Description:
For Our Friends is an all volunteer; not for profit, NO KILL; 501(c)3 animal rescue organization. All donations go directly to the care and support of the animals. We have no shelter and we must board our dogs, this limits the number of dogs we can help. Our ultimate goal is to have a shelter so that we can rescue more animals. We need volunteers to walk dogs and socialize the dogs and to participate in fund raising events. The dogs just love to be taken out and exercised and they will reward you with love and kisses.
History:
Our organization was founded in 1994 by Eileen Levy, Ruth Stein and Phyllis Eder. They have all retired from the group. For the past 5 years the group has been run by Frederia Szilagyi and its board of directors. We are very fortunate to have many extremely dedicated volunteers to run our organization.
