The Alexandre Foundation provides services and resources to and advocacy for people in need in New York, particularly in the areas of people with disabilities and health problems, educational excellence, civic engagement, and entrepreneurship.
Description:
The Alexandre Foundation (AF) creates programs and promotes services to assist those with disabilities and those who suffer from chronic health conditions. Alexandre Foundation also focuses on immigration issues, micro-enterprises, employment opportunities and emergency services. The organization works to address community concerns such as the rights of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people affected by poverty and neglect. To promote economic success in their communities, the organization supports small business initiatives and entrepreneurs, and encourages civic engagement.
