Homes for the Homeless serves over 600 homeless families and over 1,200 homeless children each day at sites across New York City. It is the largest provider of residential, education and employment training centers for families in the nation. Dubbed American Family Inns, these sites function as communities of opportunity for homeless families.
Description:
HFH is the nation's largest provider of residential, educational and employment training centers -- serving over 6o0 homeless families and over 1,200 homeless children each day in all five boroughs. Dubbed American Family Inns, these sites function as communities of opportunity which carefully integrate a network of on-site education, employment and family support services that address the multiple causes of homelessness.
History:
For the past twenty years the organization Homes for the Homeless has been dedicated to assisting parents and children overcome the obstacles they face to long-term stability through a diverse range of services and programs described above.
