Overall Experience    Experience rating
Fulfilling and rewarding!

Spent 8 years as an active volunteer firefighter in the Nogales Sonora Mexico Fire Department (border with Nogales Arizona), from 1984 to 1992. The NSFD is an all volunteer department that has been in service since 1917, started with a hand pushed cart with a few feet of hose - this cart can still be seen in the Pimeria Alta Museum in Nogales Arizona. The NSFD provides Firefighting, EMT & Hazmat services with 4 firehouses to more than 350,000 people. My tenure there is to this day one of the highlights of my life, and as soon as I settle in the NY area (since relocating from AZ), it's in my plans to join in as a volunteer again. Once a firefighter, always a firefighter!.
