The Isaiah J. Jones Memorial Foundation
Powered by Truist
Last updated on June 5, 2008

The mission of The Isaiah J. Jones Memorial Foundation is:

A. To enhance the quality of life for all members of the global community, especially those who are poor, suffering, or are otherwise disadvantaged.

B. To invest in today's children-the leaders of tomorrow-through knowledge and character-building education and guidance for them, their parents and their communities.

This Foundation will strive to respond to all people in need regardless of race, religion, national origin or social position. We will cooperate with people and organizations from all cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds in an effort to bring relief and hope to those in need. We welcome the cooperation and assistance from like-minded individuals, businesses and organizations in helping the poor and disadvantaged.

Description:
We are a non-profit community charity organization. We strive to help bring a quality of life to the under-priviledged families living in and around our community. We intend to accomplish this by instituting programs that will provide family and individual therapy and enable our children to function at their highest potential. We will maintain a fully functional food pantry, initiate clothing drives and address issues such as health, education and elder care.

History:
Our foundation has been in business, helping those in need for approximately 5 years. Over the past five years, we have hosted a family health day where, in a collaborative effort with our neighborhood hospitals, and other health care providers, such as the National Kidney Foundation, we are able to provide free health screening, such as mammogram, cervical cancer, diabetes and blood pressure and kidney screening. We also provided literature on all major health issues. We provided Christmas bags to homeless shelters in the area and we hosted Thanksgiving dinner for over 150 homeless and underprivileged individuals for the past 4 years.
