It is the mission of Friends of Historic New Utrecht to perpetuate the historical and cultural contributions of the Town of New Utrecht through education, preservation and restoration.
Description:
Working together with our partners, The New Utrecht Liberty Pole Association and New Utrecht Reformed Church, Friends of Historic New Utrecht seeks to preserve the remaining historical landmarks in the Town of New Utrecht (present day Bensonhurst). Our focus specifically is on the New Utrecht Reformed Church, the Old New Utrecht Cemetery, and The New Utrecht Liberty Pole. We also seek to educate the public about the rich history of this area.
