S.A.V.Y - Successful and Victorious Youth, Inc. is a 501 © (3) nonprofit youth development organization for girls, whose mission is to inspire young women to reach their full potential and motivate them towards excellence.
The organization has been formed for the purpose of providing youth development services to NYC public schools, specifically in Brooklyn, NY, that inspire girls to excellence by promoting positive well being, social and life skills development, exposure to new arenas and aiding girls in the transition from adolescence to adulthood. S.A.V.Y’s program model is designed to provide direct service to girls in the seventh through twelfth grades.
Description:
S.A.V.Y helps bridge the gap between the services the school is able to provide and the surmountable needs of teen girls and affords them an easier access to receive support service and tools needed at the school site, to transition into a responsible productive and proactive young woman, through our Inspire Me To Excellence initiative.
The Inspire Me To ExcellenceTM initiative was created to encourage and challenge girls to set high standards for themselves in every area of their lives and to strive for excellence in all that they aspire to do and is a reinforcement of the organizations view of girls and how our girls are being cultivated through the program.
History:
The organization is co-founded by Theda Rose and Kimberly Nichols. Ms. Nichols serves as the Executive Director, Ms. Rose serves as Program Consultant. Recognizing the various challenges that plague our girls today, the founders of S.A.V.Y decided to respond to their silent cries and offer them a positive outlet.
