Overall Experience    Experience rating
Rivinton House makes volunteering fun.

Rivington House offers a variety of volunteer opportunities through New York Cares. I set aside one weekend a month so I can serve popcorn and hang out at "Movie Night." Then I return the next morning to talk about the flick and play "Scrabble" at the Sunday Social." Since I began volunteering at Rivington House, in 2005, I have aquired an appreciation for playing "Bingo" as well as for the patients and staff of this wonderful facility.

My experience at Rivington house has been very fulfilling, the rec staff is incredible as are the residents

I volunteer thru NYCares. I have volunteered at Rivington House for over 4 years now. I have team lead the fun and games project for nearly 4 years now. I feel that I have grown as a person thru volunteering. Every day is a new experience. I never know what to expect. A person that volunteers is a special person. When you do find the right project for yourself you know it. Not every project is for every person. Keep trying until you find the right project that suits yourself.
