United Community Centers (UCC) was founded by residents of local housing projects to organize East New York neighbors to struggle for a better community and higher quality of life. The settlement offers service programs and advocacy campaigns including a teen drama group,East New York Farms! a farmers' market and urban agriculture project, health and HIV prevention, Adult ESOL classes, immigration assistance, and an affiliated day care center: the Morris L. Eisenstein Learning Center.
