Volunteer Opportunity Details: |

New York Blood Services conducts several blood drives across the city in a given month and needs help all the time. At blood drives, you will serve as our public relations emissary. You may:
Welcome donors and assist with their registration
Observe donors for any problems while providing refreshments and a
friendly smile
Assist the nursing staff by preparing collection bags to be used in the
donation process
Register donors at several different businesses in the New York Area
Grab & Drag where you have the opportunity to use your persuasive skills
to convince people passing by to participate in the drive
Or, if you prefer, you can choose to help in one of our administrative offices.
To work in one of our administrative offices volunteers are required to be fluent in the Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
To work a blood drive, no experience is needed, orientation and training are provided by the Coordinator of Volunteer Services.
