 The American Lung Association of the City of New York need volunteers for its upcoming Fifth Annual ASTHMA WALK 2008 which is being held Saturday, May 31,2008 at Battery Park. We need volunteers to help setup in the morning, directional volunteers to guide the walkers to the registration tents before the Walk begins. We need clipboard volunteers who will assist the walkers in filling out the registration forms correctly and legibly while they are waiting to register at the tent. We also need marshals to guide the walkers on the walk route so no one gets lost or makes a wrong turn. This ensures a smooth flow of the crowd and the safety of the walkers. Lastly, we need volunteers to help distribute water & snacks and a cleanup crew during and after the Walk. A short training/orientation will be conducted onsite the day of the event. There are no skill limitations, but volunteers must be age 18 or older to participate. This opportunity is sponsored by: American Lung Association of the City of New York
