VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO DO WONDERFUL WORK WITH AND FOR DISABLED ATHLETES!!!
Powered by Truist
Last updated on March 14, 2008

Achilles has several Volunteer opportunities:
For those volunteers who do not want to work (literally) on the field with our disabled athletes but still want to be of service in helping them achieve their goal to participate in a marathon we have ample volunteer opportunities within our office. We are in great need of people who are willing to donate their time for a few hours a week helping us around the office: answering phones, helping us prep/organize for races, and other inter-office needs.

We also have tremendous opportunities outside of the office for volunteers who want to join our athletes at our bi-weekly workouts in Central Park to assist our members on Tuesday evenings at 6:15pm and/or Saturday mornings at 10:15am. Join our disabled athletes (blind runners, athletes with MS, Cerebral Palsy, amputees)as guides and train with them and help them prepare for our upcoming 6th Annual Achilles Hope & Possibility 5 mile Race in Central Park on June 22nd and for the upcoming 2008 NYC Marathon.

All we require of you is that you have the desire and dedication to help others, believe in team work, and that you can bring a smile with you.

This opportunity is sponsored by: Achilles International

We need volunteers who are free at these times
