Activity Leader at a weekend culture camp for kids of African descent

Do you have experience working with children of African descent? Do you have special talents and fun activities that you would like to share with our kids, ages 5 -16? Please give us a call if you have skills in any of these areas: face painting, basketball, football (soccer), swimming, small group discussion ideas, arts and crafts activities, dance (African, hip-hop, step), theater. You might be able to join us at our fun-filled weekend camp which takes place Friday June 27th to Sunday June 29th at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY. The college is 20 minutes ride outside of the city on the MetroNorth train.

The Activity Leader will have to present his/her idea for a small group activity (no more than 10 children) to the Fambul Camp Director by May 16th 2008. The Activity Leader and Camp Director will select a time and day (Friday June 27th or Saturday 28th) for the activity to take place. Transportation to and from Manhattanville College (from the NYC area) will be reimbursed by Nah We Yone.

Directions:

 Manhattanville College is a short MetroNorth Train ride from NYC. You can take the train from Grand Central Station, Harlem 125th Street or Fordham Station to the White Plains Stop. Nah We Yone will then make arrangements to pick you up from the station and drive you to the campus.
