The Non-Patient Care Volunteer assists the Hospital support staff and patient care staff with administrative and clerical tasks such as answering phones, performing general office tasks, acting as receptionists and greeting and directing visitors according to the specific placement. The quality of care and patient satisfaction is enhanced by aiding the Hospital staff in support of operation efficiency.
There are a variety volunteer placements to chose from. We try to match the volunteer's interests, talents and availability with an appropriate placement. For additional information, please visit our Web site at www.lenoxhillhospital.org.

Volunteers need to commit to three consecutive hours during the day or two consecutive hours in the evening each week for a minimum total of 60 hours. All volunteers must complete an application and our Health Assessment Form. Volunteers between the ages of 14 and 18 are required to have our Parental Consent signed by their parent or guardian as well as working papers. In addition, all volunteers must attend a general training and development orientation. Further training before assignments begin is conducted by the staff of the assigned area. Lenox Hill has amazing facilities and caring staff that are very flexible to any volunteer schedule.

 I had the best time volunteering at Lenox Hill. There is excellent security and very caring personnel.
