The Albert G Oliver Program is seeking volunteers to mentor high achieving black and latino youth about to enter their first year in independent school. Students come from 5 NYC boroughs and attend both boarding and day. Mentors are matched one on one and provide advice and support to students. Commitment lasts 1 year, and communication(email, phone, in person) is expected a minimum of 4-6 hours a month. There are two applications, and a fingerprinting/training session. We are seeking mentors on a professional track who can provide sound career and academic as well as emotional guidance.
