The NYC Commission on Women's Issues, the Mayor's Volunteer Center of NYC, and the non-profit organization Children for Children are teaming up to present the second annual NYC Young Women's Volunteer Summit for youth aged 12-18. Driven by the belief that every young woman has special talents that make her uniquely qualified to help others, the Summit is designed to offer young people the opportunity to learn more about the ways they can positively impact others, and transform the world around them.
Youth participants will spend the morning learning about various issues facing women from job readiness and college prep to health and body image. Following the morning workshops, summit attendees will engage in hands on service projects that will benefit victims of domestic violence and other underserved populations throughout the five boroughs of New York City.
