The Mayor's Volunteer Center of NYC, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, the NYC Department of Environmental Protection, and the nonprofit, Children for Children, are teaming up to bring the global water crisis home to New Yorkers.

The NYC Tap Project Water Walk held on World Water Day Sunday, March 22, 2009 will bring together hundreds of young people and their families. They will walk one mile while carrying containers of water in a gesture of solidarity with those in the developing world who must collect and carry water on a daily basis.
